Join me in a weekly series every Wednesday afternoon this September. We'll be focussing on hand-building skills and no prior experience necessary! 

Dates: Wednesday, September 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
Time: 12 pm - 2 pm 

Weekly focuses:
Sep 2: Bowl - roll base, coil walls
Sep 9: Bud vase wall hanging - roll base, pinch mini bud vase
Sep 16: Mug - roll base, slab roll wall, add texture, pull handle
Sep 23: Seasonal pumpkin - pinch pots, carving 
Sep 30: Potter's choice

  • Underglaze applied each lesson 

Included:

  • All materials and tools 
  • Participants will underglaze their work, ZEAL will apply clear glaze after the bisque firing
  • Bisque and glaze kiln firings  

Work is available 6 to 8 weeks after the series ends. If participants wish to learn how to glaze, an additional session can be added for a fee.

Fall weather & facilities

The studio is in the un-insulated outbuilding. Please dress accordingly. There is a health compliant portable washroom on the property.

Pottery disclaimer

This is a learning process that takes years of exploration. Pieces can crack, form blisters or pinholes, craze, and crawl. While every effort is made to fire work safely, ZEAL is not responsible for damage, breakage, or loss during firing. Work that is not picked up within two months will be made available in ZEAL’s community shop or donated to a good cause.
